ATLANTA SOUTH RIVER TUNNEL
Willmer performed a geotechnical investigation and provided recommendations for combined lateral earth and water pressure for temporary shoring design for various shafts and braced excavations.
A Willmer engineer was assigned to the site full time to inspect shaft rock bolting/testing and concreting.
Willmer also conducted a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment to identify and classify hazardous and petroleum sites located within the approximate 2.2 mile project corridor limits along the tunnel alignment. Additionally, a water well survey was conducted to identify existing water wells within the corridor limits that could be influenced by construction of the tunnel.
