East Roswell Branch Library – Fulton County

East Roswell Branch Library is a new public library located in Roswell, Georgia. The 17,650 SF building consists of a main level and partial lower level and includes parking, bio-retention, and underground detention areas. Willmer provided geotechnical engineering design services for the project as well as construction materials testing, special inspection and stormwater monitoring including proofrolling observations, fill placement monitoring, foundation bearing material evaluation services, reinforcing steel inspections, concrete sampling and testing, masonry inspection and testing, fire-proofing inspection, graded aggregate base course and asphalt testing and structural steel inspection services.

Alpharetta Branch Library – Fulton County

This new two-level library in Alpharetta, Georgia has a footprint area of about 12,500 SF. The “L”-shaped steel frame building with cross braced frames for lateral support consists of a main level and a walk-out basement level. Willmer Engineering’s geotechnical services included proofrolling observations, fill placement monitoring, foundation bearing material evaluation services, reinforcing steel inspections, concrete sampling and testing, concrete batch plant inspections, masonry inspection and testing, fire-proofing inspection, graded aggregate base course and asphalt testing, structural steel inspection services, floor slab testing, and stormwater sampling and testing.

Milton Library – Fulton County

The Milton Library building is a single story “L”-shaped steel frame structure with cross braced frames for lateral support. The building is approximately 25,000 SF. The primary objectives of Willmer Engineering’s study were to obtain geotechnical information and provide recommendations for pavements, foundations, retaining walls, and other design elements associated with the facility.
